About The Position

Eventide-Tabitha is currently hiring for a Full-Time Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a Day shift 6a-6:30p (12 Hours). This position has a every third weekend and holiday rotation. The Charge Nurse provides and ensures that the highest degree of nursing care is provided in accordance with the current federal, state and local standards, guidelines, and regulations as well as the philosophy, policies and procedures of Eventide-Tabitha.

Requirements

• At least age 18.
• Successful completion of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse course of study.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 6 months experience as an RN or LPN, preferred.
• RN or LPN License in good standing as recorded on the Nebraska State Registry or other Nurse Compact state required.
• CPR Required.
• Licenses/credentials must be kept up to date at the expense of the employee.
• Must meet Tabitha's vaccination requirements.

Responsibilities

• Follows through on physician's orders in accordance with Tabitha's policies and procedures.
• Prepares, administers, and/or supervises administration of medication, treatments and other nursing services as ordered by the physician.
• Observes Senior/client, watching for any sign of adverse reaction to medications.
• Assesses seniors/clients assigned to him/her in regard to physical, mental and psychosocial status.
• Reports condition changes in a timely manner to immediate supervisor and provides follow-up with family and physician as directed.
• Takes and accurately records vital signs.
• Diligently observes Senior/client skin per Tabitha policies, proactively taking steps to avoid pressure ulcers.
• Completes procedures and documents the appropriate information on the Senior's/client's medical record in a timely manner.
• Provides direction and monitors Med Aides who are delivering medications to Seniors/clients.
• Follows through on the comprehensive care plan as developed for each individual senior/client.
• Provides supervision and education to Seniors/clients for the self-administration of medications.
• Assists in writing and implementing a comprehensive nursing plan of care.
• Updates the plan based on changes in the Senior/client physical and/or emotional state.
