About The Position

We're hiring a full-time Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse to join our float team. Float nurses cover time-off requests and unplanned absences for nursing staff across our busy multi-specialty clinic. This role offers flexible scheduling and plenty of variety—an excellent opportunity for those who enjoy caring for patients across the lifespan. Floating opportunities include supporting clinic workflows in any of our 16+ specialties, assisting with minor in-office procedures, providing patient education, delivering hands-on patient care, and more. We're looking for a team player with strong communication, computer, and organizational skills. A current nursing license is required. Previous clinic experience is not necessary, and new grads are encouraged to apply—this is a great environment to learn and grow.

Responsibilities

  • Provides general nursing care to patients.
  • Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards.
  • Maintains exam rooms for necessary supplies and materials.
  • Ensures cleanliness and prepares list of medical supplies needed.
  • Prepares equipment and aids physician during treatment, examination and testing.
  • Observes, records and reports patient's condition and reaction to drugs and treatments to physicians.
  • Dispenses medication as directed.
  • Educates patient/family about diagnostic procedures, medications, nutrition and maintenance of health.
  • Ensures appointment preferences are given to patients in emergency situations.
  • Greets patients and prepares them for physician examination.
  • Screens patients for appropriate information.
  • Instructs patients in collection of samples and tests.
  • Maintains/reviews patient records, charts and other pertinent information.
  • Posts tests and examination results.
  • Responds to/refers incoming patient treatment-related phone calls.
  • Instructs patient and family regarding medications and treatment instructions.
  • Maintains patient confidentiality.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
