About The Position
The Operating Room Registered Nurse provides perioperative nursing care across a variety of surgical specialties. This role requires strong experience in ENT, Plastics, and Pediatric surgical procedures, with the ability to function independently in a fast-paced OR environment. Schedule & Call Requirements Weekend schedule: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday Shift hours: 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM Call requirement: 3–4 call shifts per 6-week period One call shift will include a weekend
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- BLS (AHA) required
- Medication competency test required
- Strong Operating Room RN experience required
- ENT, Plastics, and Pediatric OR experience required
- Ability to scrub and circulate within scope and competency
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, evidence-based perioperative nursing care
- Prepare operating rooms and surgical equipment
- Assist surgeons and anesthesia teams during procedures
- Maintain sterile technique and patient safety standards
- Accurately document perioperative care in the electronic medical record
- Participate in on-call coverage as required
