About The Position

The Operating Room Registered Nurse provides comprehensive perioperative nursing care across a wide range of surgical specialties. This role requires strong technical expertise, adherence to sterile technique, and the ability to function effectively in a high-acuity, fast-paced surgical environment.

Requirements

  • Active RN license required
  • BLS required
  • Minimum 3 years of Operating Room experience
  • Prior travel experience required
  • Must demonstrate strong experience across multiple surgical specialties , including but not limited to: General & Bariatric Surgery Gastric bypass, gastric sleeve, lap band Laparoscopic-assisted procedures Appendectomy, cholecystectomy, colon resection, hernia repairs PEG tube placement/exchange, Whipple procedures Vascular & Cardiothoracic Aortic aneurysm repair (open & endovascular) Carotid endarterectomy, carotid angioplasty/stenting Femoral-popliteal bypass, renal artery bypass Thoracotomy, VATS, lung and lobe resections, mediastinoscopy ENT & Head/Neck Endoscopic sinus procedures Septoplasty/rhinoplasty Tonsillectomy/adenoidectomy Laryngectomy, radical neck dissection, tracheostomy, bronchoscopy Neuro & Spine Craniotomy, VP shunt insertion Cervical, lumbar, anterior spinal fusions (ALIF, XLIF) Laminectomy, discectomy Orthopedic & Trauma Total joint replacements Open/closed fracture reductions Arthroscopy, arthrotomy ACL reconstruction, spinal fusion Plastics & Reconstruction Abdominoplasty, breast augmentation Fat grafting, free flap/microvascular procedures Mastectomy with TRAM flap reconstruction Urology & GYN Hysterectomy (abdominal/vaginal) D&C, tubal ligation, colporrhaphy Cystoscopy, cystectomy, nephrectomy, prostatectomy, TURP Additional Procedures Da Vinci Xi robotic-assisted cases Amputations, circumcision, myringotomy with tubes
  • Strong experience required in Ortho/Total Joint & Trauma, Neuro, GYN/Urology, Vascular, and Thoracic cases

  • EPIC EMR experience preferred
