Fairview is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Operating Room (OR) team at Southdale Hospital, located in Edina, MN! We are seeking a hardworking and motivated Registered Nurse to join our Operating Room team, which includes surgical technologists, nursing assistants, schedulers, instrument technicians, and doctors. You will work among the top healthcare professionals in the nation, providing high quality care with a focus on patient safety and a team supported environment. The Operating Room RN demonstrates the ability to establish an environment of safety for the surgical patient. They should be able to assess, diagnose, implement, and evaluate treatments and procedures that contribute to the physiological stability of the surgical patient. They serve as a circulator or scrub during operative procedures. Schedule: This Operating Room nursing position will be working 80 hours every two weeks on the rotating Day/Night shift, 8 hour shifts, including rotation of weekends and holidays. This position includes some call hours, they are part of the work agreement for RN's in the Fairview Southdale Operating Suites. Call time is 30 minutes. About the OR at Southdale: Southdale Hospital Operating Room is a major hub for Da Vinci surgery. Southdale Hospital has 26 operating Rooms, we perform over 14,000 surgeries per year. Surgeries in this unit are among these specialties: Cardiothoracic, Neurosurgery, Orthopedics and general surgeries.
