Registered Nurse (RN), Operating Room PRN Schedule: Monday-Friday usually 8 hour shifts Current call matrix is rotating call. Variable weekdays from 3p-7p. More about our team The surgical suite includes a 10-room unit with a vast array of specialties serviced daily. With seventeen surgeons utilizing block time you can learn to circulate and assist within specialties like Orthopedics, General, GYN, Urology, ENT, Spine, and Pulmonary. The addition of the Mako and da Vinci robots, show our commitment to best practice and a patient first attitude. With several nurses working this unit for 15 years or more, the availability for training and mentorship is abundant. How you will contribute A Registered Nurse (RN) who excels in this role: Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient Performs timely and accurate QI assessments Why join us We believe that investing in our employees is the first step to providing excellent patient care. Requirements

  • Applicants should have a current VA RN license
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support
  • Experience in acute care hospital, preferred
  • American Heart Association ACLS within 6 months of hire
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) American Heart Association OR Emergency Nurse Association (ENPC) required, or within six (6) months of hire

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelors degree preferred but not required
  • Trauma Nurse Certification Course (TNCC) Emergency Nurse Association, preferred
