About The Position

The Registered Nurse in the Operating Room at Chelsea Hospital provides quality patient-centered care, considering age-specific, developmental, cultural, and spiritual needs through competent clinical practice and application of the nursing process. They consistently integrate concepts of relationship-based care into practice and serve as a clinical and educational resource to others on the unit. In the Operating Room at Chelsea, more than 5,000 inpatient and outpatient surgeries are performed annually in the fields of gynecology, orthopedics, ophthalmology, general surgery, otorhinolaryngology, podiatry, plastic surgery, and spine surgery. Chelsea Hospital is a 103-bed, not-for-profit hospital established in 1970, recognized for patient safety and satisfaction, and is a joint venture between Trinity Health and University of Michigan Health. Trinity Health is one of the largest not-for-profit, faith-based health care systems in the nation, with 121,000 colleagues and nearly 36,500 physicians and clinicians caring for diverse communities across 27 states, including 101 hospitals and various other health and well-being services.

Requirements

• Requires current Michigan Nursing License
• Graduation from accredited nursing program
• New hires must have a BSN degree or must agree in writing to obtain their BSN within five years
• On call required (45 minute response time)

Nice To Haves

• Experience as a RN working in Surgical Services preferred (Pre/Post op, Operating Room, Endo)
