About The Position

Trinitas Regional Medical Center boasts an immaculate Operating Room (OR) space with 10 Rooms to support a variety of patient care needs, both immediate and elective. Our top-of-the-line equipment includes a recovery area with three bays, a pre-op area, and a step-down area to complete the center's facilities. We have created 3 brand-new operating rooms featuring the latest equipment, allowing us to host the performance of just about any type of outpatient surgery a patient may need. Our multi-million-dollar investment in this new center will enable us in areas like oral and dental surgery, orthopedic surgery, urological surgery, plastic surgery, general surgery, podiatric surgery, and ENT surgery, among others. This is a per diem position.

Requirements

• Active New Jersey RN License or approved RN license required.
• ASN or BSN required.
• AHA BLS prior to start date required.
• Operating Room experience is required; 2+ YOE scrubbing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Organizes and administers individualized age-specific professional care to patients within an assigned unit of the hospital.
• Supports the philosophy, objectives and the mission and vision of Saint Barnabas Medical Center and the Department of Nursing.
• Practices in accordance with the State Nurse Practice Act, American Nurses Association Standards of Practice, Code of Ethics for Nurses, Department of Health Regulations, TJC requirements and other regulatory agencies.
• Participates in patient teaching and discharge planning.
• Participates in unit Performance Improvement evaluation activities.
