Registered Nurse (RN) Operating Room Circulator
About The Position
East Portland Surgery Center is looking for a full time Registered Nurse (RN) Operating Room Circulator to join the team! Job Summary: The Operating Room RN is responsible for all patient care in the procedure room and working with the physician to deliver a successful procedure and outcome for the patient. Duties include - managing procedure room(s) to ensure the rooms are prepped and ready for patients, including room turnovers, stocking supplies, cleaning, etc; administers medication as ordered by physician, following the Moderate Sedation policy; safely monitors and documents care of patients in accordance with policy and procedure and guidelines of care; supports and assists the physicians with care of the patient throughout the procedure. Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional Nursing
- Current Oregon License as a Registered Nurse
- Current BLS & ACLS required
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience as an Operating Room RN.
- Possess the ability to work independently and prioritize responsibilities
- Possess the ability to deal tactfully with patients, families, physicians, and employees
- Knowledgeable of hospital/ASC policies and procedures specific to the procedure room
- Demonstrates professional behavior/conduct in all interactions with Patients, Physicians & fellow Team members
- Efficient use of resources
- Willingness to maintain a clean, organized environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Nice To Haves
- Experience in basic and advanced procedures and IV sedation experience preferred
- Experience with medical outpatient procedures desired
