About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Operating Room at Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital is responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures. This role involves using the nursing process to assess patient needs, plan and implement individualized interventions, and evaluate the effectiveness of care. The RN will work collaboratively with healthcare team members to ensure patient-centered care and safety, while also participating in quality improvement initiatives and professional development activities.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse license issued by the state of practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification.
• Completion of an accredited nursing program.
• Typically requires 1 year of clinical nursing experience.
• Proficient computer skills and familiarity with electronic medical records.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

• Prior Operating Room experience strongly preferred.
