Experienced Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Registered Nurses are needed for a leading cardiac surgical team in Kissimmee, Florida . Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of recent CVOR or Open Heart RN experience in an acute care hospital.
• Active Florida RN license or Compact RN license (must obtain Florida license within 60 days of relocation).
• BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA).
• PALS certification.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• CNOR certification.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert perioperative nursing care during open-heart and cardiovascular surgeries.
• Scrub, circulate, and assist in cardiothoracic and vascular surgical procedures.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, perfusionists, and surgical technologists to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Monitor patients intraoperatively and respond rapidly to changes in condition.
• Maintain sterile technique and adhere to all infection prevention standards.
• Prepare surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment required for complex cardiac procedures.
• Accurately document all aspects of patient care in the electronic medical record.
• Participate in on-call rotation (one weekday per week and one weekend per month, or as needed).
• Support department quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
