About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) in Occupational Health at Orlando Health is responsible for administering patient care in an ambulatory care setting, where patients typically return home the same day. Requirements

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
• Current licensure as a registered nurse in the State of Florida or Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
• Current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.
• ACLS, NRP, PALS, TNCC certifications required for certain areas.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in ambulatory care nursing is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes knowledge and skills in ambulatory care nursing to promote wellness and restore health.
• Assesses patients' needs and develops individualized plans of care based on evidence-based nursing practice.
• Demonstrates knowledge of growth and development principles to assess patient status and needs.
• Prescribes, delegates, coordinates, and documents patient care effectively.
• Demonstrates competency in nursing skills and use of patient care equipment.
• Prioritizes patient care in accordance with Evidence-Based Practice Standards of Care.
• Communicates patient condition and unit concerns to healthcare team members.
• Maintains a safe and caring environment for patients and families.
• Integrates patient and family education throughout care delivery.
• Participates in Process Improvement activities as assigned.
