About The Position

Join Aurora BayCare’s 19-bed Observation Unit, a fast-paced environment with a unique structure and floor layout supporting efficient, high-quality care for a diverse patient population. The unit utilizes a team nursing model, fostering collaboration among CNAs, LPNs, and RNs. The unit specializes in postoperative care, including orthopedic surgery, neurosurgery, urologic surgery, cardiac pacemaker/ablation, and breast surgery, and also manages general medical patients requiring short-term observation stays. Many patients are cared for by an in-house hospitalist team. It is a dynamic setting with frequent admissions and discharges, offering variety and challenge daily. Team members may float to other units when needed. As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process, delivering safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. This role involves using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skilled communication to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
