About The Position

The Clinical Nurse/Registered Nurse works in a collaborative environment at Holy Cross Health within the Observation Unit to deliver excellent patient care as part of an interdisciplinary team providing evidence-based medicine and individualized patient care. Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program; basic professional nursing degree (BSN) preferred. Note, if the BSN degree is not present on hire, the employee must sign an agreement to obtain a within a specific time frame.
• Current licensure by the Maryland State Board of Nursing or Compact State as a Registered Nurse.
• BLS certification; additional Life Support training as applicable to unit requirements.
• Superb interpersonal, communication and collaboration abilities
• Competency in electronic patient management systems

Responsibilities

• Using Quality Caring Model, demonstrates acceptable performance, and applies nursing process, to plan and manage care of routine patients, including patient and family education, and continuum of care planning.
• Collaborative planning, coordinating and delivering quality care to patients in a short stay observation unit who present with acute to stable illnesses such as chest pain, TIA etc. n physically, emotionally and spiritually.
• Effectively communicates fundamental patient/family information to health care team.
