Boone Memorial Health is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Inpatient Nursing team full-time on the Night Shift. At the heart of our system is a 25-bed inpatient hospital, supported by a network of clinics and specialty services across Boone County and surrounding areas. Our Nursing Floor provides individualized, patient-centered care for those requiring hospitalization, and our nurses are the foundation of that mission.

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to inpatients, including assessments, care planning, medication administration, and evaluation.
  • Monitor patient conditions, respond to changes, and communicate effectively with the healthcare team.
  • Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and other clinical staff to coordinate and deliver quality care.
  • Support patients and families with education, updates, and emotional support.
  • Document care accurately and timely in the electronic health record (EHR).
  • Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and patient safety standards.
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of West Virginia
  • Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills
  • Compassionate and professional approach to patient care
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Postsecondary completion of an associate degree or higher in nursing from a regionally accredited college or university or a diploma nursing program.
  • Successful completion of NCLEX-RN exam.
  • Current license through West Virginia Board of Examiners for Registered Professional Nurses.
  • Minimum of six months of recent experience as a Registered Nurse.
  • Current certifications in BLS (required); ACLS preferred (or willingness to obtain)
  • Prior experience in inpatient or acute care nursing preferred
  • ACLS preferred (or willingness to obtain)
  • BLS Certification (Preferred)
  • EMR Service, 1 year (Preferred)
