About The Position
Evaluates assigned patients and plans, implements and documents nursing care Assists physicians during examinations and procedures Triages patients Performs various patient tests and administers medications within the scope of practice of the registered nurse Promotes patients' independence by establishing patient care goals and teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals Performs a variety of tasks A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected Odessa Regional Medical Center was founded in 1975 as Odessa Women’s and Children’s Hospital. Through the years, the hospital grew and evolved into a full-service healthcare facility and the name was changed to Odessa Regional Medical Center to reflect its larger campus and more comprehensive services. The hospital has 225 beds and has approximately 250 physicians on staff and has over 700 employees. Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
- BLS, NRP, STABLE required
- Minimum 1 year of experience required
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
Nice To Haves
- Certification for lactation consultant (IBCLC)
- COAP, ACLS and PALS preferred
