Registered Nurse (RN) Nurse Supervisor Permian Basin Behavioral Health Center Midland, Texas We are currently seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Nurse Supervisor to join our team! Requirements
- Current, active RN license to practice in the state of Texas.
- Minimum of one year of experience in a behavioral health setting, such as psychiatric or substance use disorder nursing.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team, strong observation skills, and knowledge of basic nursing care and patient safety protocols are essential.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and document patient behavior, progress, and responses to treatment.
- Administer prescribed medications, including psychotropic medications, changes bandages, and notes patient reactions.
- Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and hygiene.
- Take and record vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, heart rate).
- Conducts focused patient assessments, collects data, and documents it in patient charts for the supervising nurses, physicians.
- Works with other staff, such as psychiatrists, to help implement treatment plans.
- Facilitate group therapy sessions or recreational activities.
- Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment for patients.
