Germantown Emergency Center seeks to hire an Emergency Department Registered Nurse who will embrace our mission to extend God's care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing. As an Emergency Department Registered Nurse, you will educate patients and family through the continuum of care while also striving to advance your own knowledge and skills through careful consideration of feedback and guidance provided by more senior nurses and the Clinical Nurse Manager. You will serve as role models to Level I nurses and use electronic resources to support best practices in patient care. Demonstrating professionalism, adhering to ANA standards of practice, and exemplifying the Adventist HealthCare values as you fulfill our nursing mission and vision is essential. You will use equipment and technology correctly, delegate non-nursing duties appropriately, and maximize efficiency and effectiveness. Developing a plan of care according to patient population, identifying impending changes in patient condition accurately, and initiating corrective action are key responsibilities. Mentoring students, colleagues, and team members in patient-centered care, conducting purposeful rounding from patient and family perspective, and conducting efficient literature searches to apply findings appropriately to practice are also part of the role. You will identify opportunities for improvement in clinical care and participate in change of practice based on evidence.
