About The Position

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program.
• Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS at time of hire.
• Current active Florida or Compact Nursing License.
• Prefer one year, full-time or 3 years, part-time experience in acute care setting.
• Additional certifications required at start date or intrafacility transfer.

Nice To Haves

• ACLS certification for all Nursing Units (except nursery) as of start date for new graduate RNs within 90 days of start date.
• NRP certification for Women's Center as of start date for inexperienced L&D nurses within 90 days of start date.
• NIH certification for ICU/PCU within 90 days of start date.
• PALS and CPI certifications for ER within 90 days of start date.
• PALS certification for PACU as of start date for inexperienced PACU nurses within 90 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Provides safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy.
• Provides professional leadership and support to the healthcare team.
• Demonstrates Service Excellence standards at all times.
• Utilizes communication and interpersonal skills, basic computer skills, and customer service skills.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
