Full Time, Rotating shift The Neurotrauma Intermediate Care Unit is a 14 bed unit, with 4 beds dedicated to Epilepsy Monitoring, that receives patients at the post acute phase. We manage some labile non emergent aspects of care, embrace in conversations with patient/family regarding longer term planning. Typical patient ratio: 1:3 1:2 for Q1 procedure checks 1:1 for Q30 Devices you will have the opportunity to learn and regularly utilize include: Hilflow, CPAP, BIPAP, Chest Tubes, Lumbar Drains, Arterial Drains. General Summary This role is reserved for the new graduate or nurse with less than 12 months experience. Develops nursing practice and supports group practice goals at the unit level. Functions effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary health care team. Is accountable to patient, family and team members for care provided, and to the nurse manager for totality of work performance.
