About The Position

Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for our Neuro Intermediate Care Team! The 6C Neuro Intermediate ICU consists of 24 beds with a 3:1 patient to nurse ratio. This unit provides care for a variety of patients, including but not limited to: Stroke both embolic and hemorrhagic, SDH, SAH, Seizure disorders, Mild to moderate TBI's, Lumbar drains, Medical overflow such as Diabetic Ketoacidosis, Patients with tracheostomies/stable ventilators, Respiratory complications, Sepsis. As an RN on this unit, you may care for patients in our sister cardiac and medical units. The 6C Neuro Intermediate ICU has many supportive roles so the RN team can focus on care planning. Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in nursing.
  • Current valid North Carolina nursing license required.
  • One-year relevant experience, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Establish an authentic personalized relationship with the patient and their chosen support system.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate an individualized plan of care.
  • Utilize best scientific evidence and compassion to assist the patient in navigating their health journey.
  • Accept responsibility, authority, and accountability for management and provision of care in accordance with the current policies and procedures.
  • Deliver the most remarkable patient experience in every dimension, every time.
  • Foster a safe patient environment driven by the principles of 'First Do No Harm'.
