Requirements
- Current Florida RN license (or compact license with eligibility to obtain FL license within 60 days)
- Associate Degree in Nursing (BSN preferred)
- BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire
- ACLS (AHA) within 90 days of hire
- Minimum 1 year of recent acute care RN experience (ICU or higher acuity preferred; strong Med/Surg backgrounds considered)
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care to critically ill neurological and trauma patients in the Neuro ICU.
- Perform assessments, administer medications, and monitor complex neurological and hemodynamic parameters.
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and multidisciplinary care teams to coordinate individualized treatment plans.
- Educate patients and families on medical conditions, recovery expectations, and discharge planning.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all patient care activities.
- Respond to emergencies promptly and effectively, utilizing ACLS protocols and critical thinking skills.
- Support process improvement initiatives and evidence-based practice standards to enhance patient outcomes.
