Feel free to email your questions to [email protected] Work location: Texas Health Alliance, 10864 Texas Health Trail, Fort Worth, TX 76244 Work hours: Full-time days, 36 hours weekly, 3-12 hours shifts, 7:00 am – 7:00 pm NICU Unit Department highlights: 8-bed Neonatal ICU unit – Level III 25-weeks’ gestation on up – utilizing CPAP, Bubble CPAP, Vents, and Jets May Float to assist with Mother/baby Unit; work with feeders & growers Part of the Texas 10-Step Program

Requirements

• Associate Degree in Nursing or Diploma in Nursing required; BSN preferred
• RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire required
• BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
• NRP - Essential Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 Days of hire
• NRPA-Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 Days of hire
• CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training Maintained Annually within 90 Days of hire
• 1 Year Experience as a clinical nurse or completion of an RN residency program Req

Nice To Haves

• 3 years of NICU level III experience strongly preferred

Responsibilities

• Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
• Assesses the patient
• Plans the care of the patient
• Intervenes as appropriate
• Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
• Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
• Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
• Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
• Delivery of high quality of patient care through nursing education, nursing research and innovations in nursing practice.
• Strong Unit Based Council (UBC).
