About The Position

Texas Health Alliance is seeking a passionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our NICU team. This part-time position requires working nights, specifically 24 hours weekly, with shifts from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am. The NICU unit is an 8-bed Neonatal ICU unit, classified as Level III, catering to infants from 25 weeks' gestation and up. The role may involve floating to assist with the Mother/baby unit, where you will work with feeders and growers. This position is part of the Texas 10-Step Program, emphasizing our commitment to quality care and support for our patients and their families.

Requirements

• Current RN license in the state of Texas.
• Experience in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is preferred.
• Ability to work part-time night shifts.

Nice To Haves

• Certification in Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP).
• Experience with CPAP, Bubble CPAP, Vents, and Jets.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to neonates in the NICU.
• Monitor and assess the health status of patients.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Assist with the care of mothers and their newborns in the Mother/baby unit as needed.
