About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for an MSDU / PCU (Stepdown / Intermediate Care Unit) assignment. The ideal candidate will be confident managing higher-acuity patients requiring close monitoring while maintaining safe and efficient care delivery in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Requirements

• Active New York State RN License (in hand; no exceptions)
• Minimum 1 year of recent MSDU, PCU, or Stepdown experience
• EPIC charting experience (required)
• BLS certification (AHA required)
• Ability to safely manage Med/Surg-level patient ratios (1:5 to 1:7)

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to intermediate-acuity adult patients
• Monitor patient status, including telemetry and vital signs
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
• Accurately document patient care using EPIC EMR
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal outcomes
• Respond effectively to changes in patient condition and escalate care as needed
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, patient safety standards, and regulatory guidelines
