Registered Nurse (RN) – Mother Baby PRN III Night Shift Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + Together Work location\: Texas Health Denton\: 3000 N I-35 Denton, Texas 76201 Work hours: PRN Level III/per diem, Night Shift; 7p-7a as needed; minimum requirement\: 6 shift/per 6-week schedule, 2 weekend shift/per 6-week schedule, 1 major/2 minor holiday requirements Department highlights: The Center for Women at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Denton is a Texas 10-step facility with the “Best Place to Have a Baby” designation. Robust Unit Based Council (UBC) and engaged leadership team The unit has 23 beds Postpartum/Newborn, Couplet Care, 12 LDR beds, 2 OR suites, 3 private recovery rooms, 6 Antepartum rooms and 4 private OB/ED beds Level III NICU with 16 beds with private rooms The unit delivers an average 200 a month. OB Hospitalist 24/7 Anesthesiologist dedicated to L&D 24/7 Brand new Women’s Tower that opened July 2022

Requirements

Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required; BSN preferred
RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire required
BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training Maintained Annually 90 Days required
NRP - Essential Neonatal Resuscitation Program 90 Days required
1 year experience as a Registered Nurse required

Nice To Haves

Mother Baby experience preferred

Responsibilities

Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
Assesses the patient
Plans the care of the patient
Intervenes as appropriate
Evaluates the effectiveness of interventional
Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care
Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers
