Requirements

• Current licensure in Texas as a Registered Nurse or proof of application for licensure.
• Graduation from an accredited School of Professional Nursing.
• BLS certified.
• ACLS certified (must be obtained within the first 90 days of employment).
• NRP certification must be obtained within the first 90 days of employment.
• STABLE certification required as a one-time certification. A new hire who has not obtained it before will have 6 months to complete.
• 12 months acute inpatient experience in Mother Baby required.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, develop, implement and evaluate care of a specific patient population.
• Develop Plans of Care with realistic goals.
• Perform procedures basic to the general well-being of the patient.
• Assume responsibility for own communications and communicate through appropriate channels.
• Teach patients and/or significant others about disease healing process and treatment plan.
