Comprehensive Services: 60-bed Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), 25-bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), 38-bed Acute/Intermediate Care Pediatric Unit. State-of-the-art facilities, including 8 labor rooms, 30 private postpartum rooms, and advanced maternity care services.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program required.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing required within 5 years of hire.
• 1 year of relevant experience.
• Licensed to Practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
• American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Integrate the ANA Nursing: Scope and Standards of Practice and the ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses with Interpretive Statements.
• Demonstrate Relationship Based Care with self, colleagues, and patients/families.
• Provide expert caring through clinical assessment, planning, prioritizing, coordinating, and implementation of care.
• Participate in shared governance as empowered leaders.
• Engage in lifelong learning through professional development and onboarding of new team members.
• Adhere to clinical documentation guidelines and engage in performance improvement activities.
• Apply technologies that support patient care and implement evidence-based practice.
