Registered Nurse (RN) - MedSurg/IMC for ED Holds
About The Position
The Registered Nursing (RN) w orks collaboratively with the ED team caring for patients admitted to a med/surg level of care awaiting a room. This RN is part of the Resource Pool and will float to IMC/Med Surg units when needed. Department/Position Overview: This is a 41-bed Level III Trauma ED with 6 beds dedicated to a lock down psychiatric screening and treatment area. We are a stroke certified ED and receive STEMI and psychiatric patients. The ED treats about 150 patients per day with a dedicated radiology suite in the ED for plain film and CT imaging.
Requirements
- ADN required, BSN or higher preferred.
- Virginia or compact multistate RN (Registered Nurse) license in good standing.
- RN Experienced in a hospital setting.
- Min of 18mos RN Experience in an IMCU or medical surgical unit.
