About The Position

Sentara Albemarle Medical Center is hiring a flexi/prn Registered Nurse for the Medical Telemetry Unit to work on an as needed basis. Hours/Shift: Flexi/PRN, Night Shift Our Medical Telemetry is 2 units in one. The unit is comprised of 24 beds; 17 beds of medical telemetry patients, and 7 bed for stroke/neuro patients . The unit takes care of adults with stroke rule out, TIA, CVA, syncope, COPD, CHF, diabetes, pneumonia, and other acute problems needing telemetry monitoring. BLS is required, ACLS preferred, telemetry knowledge preferred but will be taught if unknown, NIHSS required (or will be taught). Certification/Licensure Registered nursing License (required) Students in the process of obtaining a Registered Nursing License. BLS required within 90 days of hire ACLS (preferred) Experience None required 1 year of acute care (preferred) Previous healthcare experience (preferred) Telemetry knowledge (preferred)
