About The Position

A healthcare facility in New York, NY is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical/Surgical for a contract assignment. Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) License – New York State
• Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical nursing experience

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association

Responsibilities

• Assess patient conditions and develop individualized nursing care plans
• Provide direct nursing care and monitor patient progress throughout recovery
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
• Monitor and document vital signs, symptoms, and treatment responses
• Maintain accurate documentation in electronic medical record (EMR) systems
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated patient care
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions
• Follow infection control guidelines and patient safety protocols
