About The Position
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) – Med/Surg to join a dynamic acute care team. The RN will provide comprehensive patient care, support recovery, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes for patients.
Requirements
- Active New York State RN License (Primary Source Verified)
- AHA BLS Certification
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited institution
- Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg experience
- Experience in acute care hospital or post-acute setting
- Most recent experience within the past year
- Strong clinical knowledge in patient care and treatment
- Physical assessment and clinical evaluation
- Medication administration
- Wound care and infection control
- IV therapy and post-operative care
- Telemetry monitoring
- Patient education and communication
- EMR/EHR systems (EPIC preferred)
- Critical thinking and problem-solving
- Team collaboration and adaptability
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
- Provide direct bedside care to medical and post-surgical patients
- Administer medications and monitor patient responses
- Perform wound care, IV insertions, and catheterization
- Monitor vital signs and report changes promptly
- Operate and adjust medical equipment as needed
- Maintain accurate patient documentation and records
- Collaborate with healthcare teams on discharge planning
- Educate patients and families on procedures and recovery care
- Follow all nursing protocols, standards, and safety guidelines
