Georgetown Community Hospital is an acute care hospital with 75-beds offering a broad range of inpatient, outpatient, intensive care, surgical, emergency and diagnostic services. From our bariatrics to women’s services to radiology, we have a wide range of services serve our community. Med/Surg RN Position Summary: Assesses the patient’s condition and nursing care needs. Sets goals and prescribes appropriate nursing interventions to meet physical, psychological, social and rehabilitative needs of patients. Develops individual nursing care plans. Implements care plans and makes revisions as needed. Evaluates patient care outcomes. Collaborates with physicians and other hospital employees. Administers medications, treatments and therapies. Communicates with patients and oversees provision of care. Provides patients and/or family with instruction and education relevant to condition. Accurately documents nursing observations, assessments, medications, treatments, and other care given.

Requirements

  • Education: Associates Degree in Nursing, Required
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Preferred
  • License: Current RN to practice in the state of (KY)
  • Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire
  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action
