About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical-Surgical/Telemetry will provide direct patient care in an acute care setting, delivering safe, high-quality nursing care to adult patients. This role requires strong clinical assessment skills, telemetry monitoring experience, and the ability to work independently with minimal orientation.

Requirements

• Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license
• BLS certification (AHA or equivalent)
• Minimum 1.5 years of recent acute care experience (within the past 2 years)
• Prior Medical-Surgical and Telemetry experience required
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Nice To Haves

• Oncology experience preferred
• EPIC EMR experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult Med/Surg and Telemetry patients
• Perform accurate patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
• Monitor and interpret telemetry rhythms and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
• Administer medications, initiate IVs, and obtain laboratory specimens
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure continuity of care
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record
• Adhere to patient safety, infection control, and regulatory standards
• Work assigned weekends and holidays per unit requirements
