About The Position
Float to the Med Surg/Telemetry units at least three of the following hospitals: MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center MedStar Good Samaritan Hospital MedStar Harbor Hospital MedStar Montgomery Medical Center MedStar Union Memorial Hospital Registered Nurse (RN) Medical Surgical Telemetry Regional Float Pool Are you ready to embrace flexibility and thrive in diverse work environments? Enjoy a set base rate, hourly scheduling incentive and additional pay for Charge/Preceptor shifts. PRN Requirements: Four 12-hour shifts per 6-week schedule Two of the 4 shifts are weekend shifts per 6-week schedule 1 holiday a year 1 hard-to-fill shift per year
Requirements
- ADN, BSN, MSN, or CNL from an accredited School of Nursing required.
- 2+ years of RN experience required; two plus years of RN experience in Medical Surgical Telemetry strongly preferred.
- Travel/Agency and/or multiple healthcare organization nursing experience highly preferred.
- Active MD RN License or Active Compact State RN and Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers required (AHA or American Red Cross) upon 90 days after starting.
- ACLS and NIHSS strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- As a Clinical Nurse, you will provide skilled, compassionate care to patients and families across a spectrum of needs-from routine to highly complex.
- You will assess evolving patient conditions, identify actual and potential health concerns, and develop appropriate care plans.
- Interventions may be delivered directly or coordinated through collaboration with other members of the nursing team
