Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical ICU
About The Position
Hartford Hospital is actively hiring Registered Nurses (RN) for our Critical Care Nursing Units . Experienced nurses are welcome and encouraged to apply. This posting is on Bliss 7 ICU, the Medical Intensive Care Unit which is a 12-bed unit that provides care to patients with a wide range of complex, highly acute medical issues utilizing a variety of advanced technologies and devices including CRRT. These issues include but are not limited to; respiratory failure, gastrointestinal bleeding, liver injury/failure, kidney injury/failure, sepsis, and drug and alcohol withdrawal. Under the supervision of a Critical Care Pulmonologist, the unit is staffed 24 hours-a-day with a team of Pulmonary Critical Care Fellows and medical house staff physicians consisting of interns and residents. Requirements
- Current Connecticut RN License
- Graduate of an accredited nursing school (BSN Required)
- BLS certification by the American Heart Association required prior to date of hire
- Minimum one year acute care RN experience strongly preferred
