Requirements

• Active Florida RN license or multistate compact license (must obtain Florida license within 60 days of relocation)
• Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN)
• Basic Life Support (BLS AHA) required within 30 days of start
• NIH Stroke Scale certification within 30 days of employment
• ACLS certification within 6 months of hire
• Minimum 1 year of recent acute care RN experience OR acute inpatient rehabilitation experience

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Prior experience in a 5:1 or 6:1 med-surg unit ratio environment
• Strong teamwork and communication skills with a commitment to patient advocacy

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care.
• Administer medications, monitor treatment responses, and adjust care plans as needed.
• Advocate for patient safety and wellbeing at all times.
• Educate patients and families about medications, procedures, and discharge instructions.
• Utilize time, supplies, and equipment efficiently to optimize patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all patient care activities.
• Support and uphold infection control standards and facility policies.
