About The Position
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) with Medical-Surgical experience to join a fast-paced healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care, support clinical teams, and ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg experience in: Large acute care hospital setting OR Post-acute or acute care facility
- Recent experience within the past 12 months
- Strong skills in: Physical assessment, Medication administration, Wound care & infection control, IV therapy, Post-operative care, Patient education, Telemetry monitoring
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited institution
- Active New York State RN License (Primary Source Verified)
- AHA BLS Certification
- AHA ACLS Certification (required for Queens assignments)
Nice To Haves
- Experience with EPIC EMR system
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals
- Deliver direct, individualized bedside care to pre- and post-surgical patients
- Administer and document medications as prescribed
- Perform clinical procedures such as dressing changes, catheter insertion, and IV initiation
- Operate and monitor specialized medical equipment; accurately record patient data
- Monitor vital signs and promptly report any adverse reactions or changes in condition
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams on discharge planning
- Educate patients and families on procedures, recovery, and ongoing care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation
- Adhere to established nursing standards, protocols, and best practices
