About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse to provide high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals with acute medical and post-surgical needs requiring continuous telemetry monitoring. The RN will perform thorough assessments, administer treatments, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure safe and effective care delivery.

Requirements

• Active RN license (New York State or Compact, as applicable)
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• 1–2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience in an acute care setting
• Strong knowledge of cardiac monitoring and medical-surgical nursing practices

Nice To Haves

• ACLS preferred
• Familiarity with EPIC or similar EMR systems preferred

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct nursing care on a Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Monitor, interpret, and respond to cardiac telemetry and patient conditions
• Perform and document comprehensive patient assessments
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and prescribed treatments
• Collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team on individualized care plans
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and discharge care
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, infection control, and safety standards
• Respond promptly to emergencies and escalate care when necessary
