About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg Telemetry position is a part-time, day shift role located at Corona Regional Medical Center in Corona, CA. The hospital has a rich history dating back to 1965 and has evolved to meet the needs of the growing community. It is a 238-bed community hospital network that includes a 160-bed acute care hospital and a 78-bed rehabilitation campus. The RN will report to the Director of Medical/Oncology/Surgical and/or designated supervisors and charge nurses, and will be responsible for assessments, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation, and documentation of adult and geriatric patients. The role also includes counseling and education for patients and families, ensuring optimal nursing care and maintaining standards of nursing practice.

Requirements

• Current California R.N. license.
• BLS (CPR) certificate required through the American Heart Association (AHA).
• NIH Stroke Scale Certification within 90 days of hire required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation of adult and geriatric patients.
• Document patient care and maintain accurate records.
• Provide counseling and education for patients and their families.
• Supervise all categories of nursing personnel.
• Ensure optimal outcomes and maintain standards of nursing practice.
