About The Position

Avera is currently seeking Registered Nurses (RN) looking to deliver the best possible nursing care in Avera's patient-focused settings. This position involves delivering nursing care by developing a nursing diagnosis, establishing nursing care objectives, defining nursing interventions, and providing physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, families, and friends. The role requires noting changing conditions and needs and re-evaluating care objectives.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse (RN) - Board of Nursing An active license in the state of practice upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care by reviewing physician prescriptions and communicating the nursing care plan to other members of the health care team.
• Develops nursing care plans by obtaining medical histories, examining patients, and documenting patient physical condition.
• Teaches healthcare requirements by establishing patient care goals and instructing patients and families.
• Evaluates patient care by adhering to therapeutic standards and measuring health outcomes against patient care standards.
• Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy patient care environment by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
• Documents patient care services by charting in patient and department records.
• Keeps patient care equipment operating by following operating instructions and performing preventive maintenance.
• Maintains competence in nursing capabilities outlined by leadership.
