About The Position

A leading healthcare facility in Bronx, NY is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – Med/Surg ICU to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced acute care environment. The RN will be responsible for assessing, planning, and delivering patient-centered care for critically ill patients while collaborating with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure safe and effective treatment.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Medical/Surgical nursing experience
• Minimum 2 years of IV insertion and phlebotomy experience
• Minimum 2 years of Conscious Sedation experience
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work effectively in a high-acuity hospital environment
• Required: Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN/ADN)
• Active New York State RN License
• Primary Source Verification of license/registration via NYSED
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.

Nice To Haves

• Candidates with experience in Med/Surg ICU , Med/Surg + ICU combination , Step-Down ICU , or Critical Care ICU will be prioritized.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in the Med/Surg ICU unit
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor patient conditions.
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders.
• Provide IV insertion, phlebotomy, and conscious sedation support as required.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation and care plans
• Respond quickly and effectively to changes in patient conditions
• Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and healthcare staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Follow hospital policies, patient safety standards, and infection control guidelines.
