Requirements

  • Must have current and valid license as a Registered Nurse issued by the State of California.
  • BCLS upon hire and maintain current.
  • Patient Assessment, Critical thinking, documentation, and communication.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • The Registered Nurse provides direct care in the medical – surgical setting.
  • Under the direction of the Nursing Department Leadership Team, formulates a plan of care to meet the identified needs of the patient/family unit using the nursing process.
  • Consistently monitors and evaluates patient outcomes and modifies plan of care and participates in the coordination of continuum of care.
  • Able to responds quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.
  • As appropriate, communicates with physicians, Nurse Director, and co-workers, about changes in the patient’s clinical condition, including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology.
  • Assumes shift responsibility and accountability for the plan of care.
  • Collaborates with other health professionals to coordinate, monitor and direct patient care.
  • Meets patient/family needs in a cost effective manner through efficient use of resources
