The position focuses on clinical practice and care delivery, emphasizing personal learning and the application of evidence-based practices. The role involves following unit-based protocols, documentation, and pathways while engaging patients and their families in the care process. Responsibilities include conducting patient and family needs assessments, initiating and documenting education, and advocating for patient and family needs when appropriate. The nurse will deliver care consistent with unit operations to ensure safe, timely, effective, efficient, equitable, and patient-centered care.

  • Focus on clinical practice and care delivery while emphasizing personal learning.
  • Use and apply evidence-based practice and access appropriate resources.
  • Follow unit-based protocols, documentation, pathways, etc.
  • Involve patients and families in care and follow model of care delivery guidelines.
  • Conduct patient/family needs assessments and document patient/family education.
  • Advocate for patient/family needs when appropriate.
  • Deliver care consistent with unit operations to ensure safe, timely, effective, efficient, equitable, patient-centered care.
  • Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Maryland, or eligible to practice due to Compact state agreements.
  • Current AHA BLS certification.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Pay Range: $37.00 per hour
