About The Position
Eddy Village Green in Cohoes, NY has an opportunity for a nurse to work as a manager on their Green House campus! This is a great opportunity for a nurse looking to develop in their profession or those looking at bringing their experience to a team driven facility where your opinions and thoughts are heard! This is a 192 bed skilled nursing facility providing care in a non-traditional way through 16 twelve bed houses. Greenhouse is a pioneering effort in long term care bringing control back to the elders that live in the houses by honoring their lifelong routines and preferences. In addition to the culture change in care delivery there is also a relationship shift between nurses and the C.N.A's that manage the individual houses. As a member of our caring, compassionate health care professionals you'll enjoy: Salary position Flexibility with scheduling Tuition assistance Great co-workers and leaders that support their staff and their needs Extensive training for all nurses that work at Eddy Village Green to ensure they will be successful Unique facility model, being the largest in the nation and only a few within the Northeast to adapt this model of care Shadow experiences for those interested in getting additional insight on this rewarding opportunity The selected candidate would be expected/ but not limited to: Manage the clinical care of 48 elders on the 192 bed campus Manage care plans and work closely with MDS, interdisciplinary team, medical staff and consultants Act as a liaison between family members and facility and would be expected to participate in quality initiatives Facilitate collegial relationships in the interdisciplinary teams Assume responsibility for the management of fiscal and material resources Demonstrate the organization’s commitment to sound ethical business practices as directed by the Corporate Compliance Office and approved by the Board of Trustees. Accountability for the human resource and outcome management for designated resident populations
Requirements
- Valid NYS RN license
- Associate’s degree in nursing
- 5+ yrs of experience as a RN
- 1+ yrs in a leadership role as a RN
Nice To Haves
- 3+ yrs of experience in a long term care facility
- 1+ yr of experience with finical management
- MDS experience
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing
- Highest level of customer service while completing day to day duties and responsibilities
- Strong conflict mediation skills
- Excellent communication in a fast pace work environment across teams on different shifts and different departments
- Highest level of engagement within a team setting to promote a positive work environment
- Promote and embrace the culture of the facility
- Leadership and mentorship skills overseeing nursing and nursing support staff
- Passion to learn, grow and develop in the nursing field
