More about our team WCCH ER is a 14 bed ED with a Fast Track area to accommodate up to 8 patients. We are Certified as a Stroke Ready Facility with The Joint Commission. The ED nurse patient ratio is 1:4. The ED is staffed with Nurse Techs, Monitor Techs, and RNs. We believe in a work life balance with our employees while providing our community the care they need. Our department offers preferred scheduling to our employees. Requirements

  • Applicants should have a current state RN license or compact licensure.
  • Basic Life Support certification is required at hire.
  • ACLS and PALS are required within six months of hire.
  • Three to five years' experience as a staff nurse within ER department.
  • Handle with care within one year of date of hire.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology required.
  • Knowledge of MedHost electronic health records strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the activities of the ED and assigned staff during scheduled shifts
  • Provide patient care.
  • Enhance department workflow.
  • Provide leadership at the point of care.
  • Ability to understand, communicate and react effectively to patient and family needs.
