About The Position

Our Dermatology department has the opportunity for a RN or LPN to join our fast-paced dermatology team. This role will allow one to gain advanced knowledge of skin health and treatment for common skin issues, skin diseases and cancers, wound care, burns, and diverse dermatologic procedures to include but is not limited to: a variety of cosmetic treatments and services, lasers, BBL, PDL, blue light therapy, skin biopsies, microdermabrasion, among many others. This position offers flexibility, close patient interaction, and a rewarding alternative to traditional clinic/hospital nursing. Responsibilities

  • Provides general nursing care to patients. Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards.
  • Maintains exam rooms for necessary supplies and materials. Ensures cleanliness. Prepares list of medical supplies needed.
  • Prepares equipment and aids physician during treatment, examination and testing of
  • Observes, records and reports patient's condition and reaction to drugs and treatments to physicians. Dispenses medication as directed. Educates patient/family about diagnostic procedures, medications, nutrition and maintenance of health and
  • Ensures appointment preferences are given to patients in emergency situations.
  • Greets patients and prepares them for physician examination. Screens patients for appropriate information. Instructs patients in collection of samples and tests.
  • Maintains/reviews patient records, charts and other pertinent information. Posts tests and examination results.
  • Responds to/refers incoming patient treatment-related phone calls. Instructs patient and family regarding medications and treatment instructions.
  • Maintains patient confidentiality.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
