We have 13 Labor and Delivery beds, 8 OB Triage beds, 9 Antepartum beds, 5 Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) beds, 36 postpartum beds, 20 NICU beds, and 6 Well Newborn Baby Beds. We offer mobile and cordless monitors to laboring patients. We have nitrous oxide, labor tubs, and began offering Midwifery services In 2018. The Women and Infants Department encompasses L&D, OB triage, Antepartum, MFM, PP, and NICU all in one centralized floor, offering a smooth continuum of care for patients and staff. We value evidenced based care and continuing education and evidenced by greater than 30% of our RNs nationally certified in their specialty. Banner Estrella’s Women and Infants Department has achieved the top 10% for Patient experience 3 years consecutively and was recently recognized as one of US News & World Reports Best Hospitals for Maternity services. This position is for a full-time day shift RN Labor and Delivery position. The hours will be from 6:00am - 6:30pm for 3 shifts per week which will include weekends and holidays on a rotating basis. POSITION SUMMARY This position assesses, plans, implements, evaluates and documents nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and in accordance with standards of professional nursing practice utilizing the framework for professional nursing practice and development. This position is accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered by self or others who are under their direction. This position utilizes specialized knowledge, judgment, and nursing skills necessary to assess data and plan, provide and evaluate care appropriate to the physical and developmental age of assigned patients.
