About The Position

L&D Registered Nurse (RN) Status/FTE: PT / 0.4-0.6 FTE Shift length: 12 hours Start Time: 1900 Unit: Labor & Delivery Schedule Requirements (including weekends, holidays): Two (2) 12-hour shifts weekly, every third weekend and holidays by rotation The RN utilizes the nursing process in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the nursing care of patients from admission to the department through discharge or transfer. Provides expert care and education to patients in the clinical setting, acts as a patient advocate, leader, and mentor for assistive personnel. The RN is knowledgeable in clinical nursing procedures, disease processes, interventions, and pharmacological agents. Manages patient loads in assigned timelines. Requirements

  • Current state RN license
  • Associate’s degree from an accredited nursing school
  • BLS for Healthcare Provider upon hire
  • ACLS and NRP are required within six (6) months of hire
  • One (1) year of inpatient L&D experience

Nice To Haves

  • BSN preferred
  • Three to Five (3 to 5) years L&D, high-risk L&D or Charge nursing experience
  • RNC-OB and/or RNC-EFM Certification
  • AWHONN FHM and STABLE within the first year
