About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered nursing care in a Labor & Delivery setting. This role involves assessing patient needs, coordinating care plans, performing therapeutic interventions, and collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe and effective outcomes for maternal and newborn patients. The RN may be assigned to labor, antepartum, postpartum, or nursery care depending on unit needs.

Requirements

• Minimum 1+ year of experience in Labor & Delivery or related specialty
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN)
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (state or multi-state compact)
• BLS (AHA)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• ACLS Advanced
• AWHONN EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring)

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care based on patient needs
• Develop and coordinate individualized plans of care through ongoing assessments
• Perform therapeutic nursing interventions aligned with clinical priorities
• Manage and coordinate patient care throughout the continuum
• Document nursing care in accordance with standards of practice, patient acuity, and clinical priorities
• Initiate assessments based on patient conditions, physician diagnoses, and functional health frameworks
• Advocate for evidence-based practice standards and support adoption of care innovations
• Deliver patient-centered care aligned with professional nursing practice models
• Collaborate effectively with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams
• Perform additional duties as assigned
